why mindfulness?
Mindfulness means paying attention, and my impression is that currently, most of us don’t. By paying attention, I mean a conscious decision to pause and notice what’s happening inside and outside ourselves. When stressed and under pressure, we tend to miss the broader context, following the crowd and neglecting our needs.
I know this pattern too well because a while ago, this drive led me to a few major crises. Then, I discovered mindfulness, which I admit I find slightly subversive. How else would you describe living a slower life these days? Or expressing generosity and compassion towards yourself and others? Or cultivating curiosity and contentment with what we already have instead of constantly striving for something better?
It’s not true that stress and rushing are inseparable elements of the modern lifestyle. With mindfulness, you can slow down and introduce more balance into your life.

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)
When was the last time you thought about how your fast-paced life depletes you? Franticly hurrying from one thing to another, with a calendar jam-packed each week we gradually find ourselves in a state of chronic stress and experience harmful physical symptoms. Modern culture teaches us to neglect stress symptoms and continue, no matter the consequences. The problem is that this ignorance comes at a significant cost. Mental health crises, and chronic diseases have become our new normal.
The first step towards making a change might be signing up for 8-Week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. During the eight weekly sessions, you’ll have a chance to recognize your habitual thinking patterns and deepen your relationship with the body. The goal is to understand stress mechanisms and learn to approach challenges in a different, more effective way. The MBSR program is the most scientifically researched meditation program available, with proven professional, social, and personal benefits.
Mindfulness meditation groups
Are you a graduate of the 8-week MBSR course, or simply looking for other meditators to deepen your mindfulness practice? Sometimes we all need the support of a like-minded community to keep up with our habits. Mindfulness groups offer space to meet and meditate, listen to inspirational talks, and discuss personal discoveries and challenges related to your practice.
