hey there, I’m Ewa

I’m a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher based in Brussels, Belgium. I teach online and in-person classes in English and Polish.

It doesn’t matter what stage of your life you’re in, whether you’re an exhausted parent or a successful yet overworked high achiever. I do believe we all deserve a break and time to take care of ourselves. I’m here for you to help you to slow down and balance your energy through mindfulness and yoga.

Here’s my story:

When I think back to the old version of myself, I see an exhausted woman who doesn’t understand what is happening with her body and emotions. Anxiety and frustration were in charge of my life, making me feel trapped in a cyclone of negative thoughts and fear. I was overworked, overstimulated and overly sleep-deprived. My self-worth was based on how quickly and effectively I could complete tasks from my to-do list and how satisfied others were with my performance. Does any of this sound familiar?

When my husband and I decided to move to Brussels in 2016 and start a family far away from our “village,” the situation got more complicated. The potent combination of a demanding office job, two little kids, and setting unrealistic goals of becoming perfect in each area of my life gradually made me feel like I couldn’t handle it anymore. Yet, my inner voice told me to keep going, and so I did.

I eventually found myself at 30 years old with repeated panic attacks, an episode of postnatal depression, and burnout. At the time, I felt alone and lost from myself, but I came to understand that others also find themselves in a similar untenable situation. Then one summer evening, I rolled out my old yoga mat in a separate room at my in-laws’ house. Smelling its familiar sweet scent, I realized that, at the time, yoga was one of the few activities that made me feel better. When my body moved between poses following the breath, my thoughts became less intrusive, and my emotions less overwhelming. It was only then that I understood that paying attention to myself and my needs, cultivated through yoga practice, would become an inseparable element of my healing process. My journey towards a more balanced life as a mum and a woman began at that moment.

Soon after that day, I signed up for a yoga teacher training. Being as passionate about the subject as I was, I couldn’t stop myself from studying even more areas of yoga: restorative, prenatal, and postnatal. Afterward, I focused on deepening my meditation practice by taking a mindfulness course in a Buddhist tradition and then a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Method (MBSR) teacher training.

All these methods helped me to redefine my priorities and made me change my attitude towards myself and the world around me, gently bringing more peace and contentment into my life each day. It always impresses me what a process it was! Thus, a desire to share my experience with others followed naturally. If yoga and meditation helped me, could they also help you?

By introducing small changes into our daily routine, I have seen how we can work miracles. And it doesn’t matter whether you spend your evenings reading books, watching Netflix, or assisting your children with homework. I don’t care whether you can bend over and touch your toes or not. Maybe you have kids who, from 5. a.m., test your zen attitude or a boss who, with the brightest smile assigns you more and more work every single day. We all face challenges and so we all need time to pause and restore. Yoga and meditation can help you with that, and I’m here for you on your path toward a more balanced life that we all deserve.

The biggest advantage of attending Ewa’s classes are her guided meditations. The way she instills awareness and consciousness deepens the yoga practice and makes it much better. After her classes, I feel grounded, which leaves me feeling more balanced when facing the challenges of the days ahead. For instance, after one of her classes, I managed to keep my cool, arriving home to a vomiting and crying child 🙂 That’s something!

Whether you are new to the yoga practice or an experienced yogi, it doesn’t matter because Ewa is just the perfect teacher for you! As you step into her practice, you will feel enveloped by positive vibes that will help you appreciate your body and energy. With her easy-going and friendly attitude, Ewa is determined to make your yoga experience worthwhile. She is encouraging, attentive, and determined to help you explore the betterness in you. Her practice is carefully calibrated to meet your needs: meditation, core body, booty, tummy, you name it, and all this in the right dose to ensure that the practice does not become a tedious chore. So, put your thoughts aside, put the future on hold, and hop on your mat for some yoga with Ewa

Anna, Brussels

My first yoga classes were with Ewa as a teacher. She made me love it because she has the ability to connect with her students and make even beginners like me feel comfortable. She transmits great energy, peace, and enthusiasm. You can also tell that she loves teaching. I always leave her classes feeling more focused and at peace.

Pregnancy, a condition in which women undergo distinct psychological and physical changes, might be challenging, especially for those who need to work until the very last moment. I found myself in such a situation where I constantly needed to manage various physical, emotional, and mental pain states that arose during my pregnancy. So, this moment of profound relaxation and an opportunity to learn different self-soothing techniques during classes with Ewa was of primordial importance to overcoming the maternal stress and anxiety I experienced. The course of prenatal yoga with Ewa is a combination of mind-blowing relaxation, a bit of a physical challenge, and a feeling of decreased pregnancy discomfort. I do recommend it to all future mommies

Agnieszka, Brussels (prenatal)

Ewa’s yoga classes allow me to start my weekend right. She is so attentive! The practice is both demanding for the body and highly relaxing. Thanks to the classes, I have discovered muscles I did not know existed. And the restorative part at the end of the session is the cherry on the cake. Each class is different, yet a beautiful routine is in place. Ewa is the yoga teacher you dream of: inspiring, capturing the audience, offering corrections as needed, and constantly reminding us to respect our boundaries. I would recommend practicing with her to yogis of all levels.

Aida, Brussels

I think lockdown was tough for all of us, and yoga was a nice daily routine I learned to fit into my schedule. I would wake up, do yoga, have breakfast, and start the day with the right attitude. When Ewa told me she was considering starting online classes, I asked her to be my private instructor, and I could not be happier! Her practice is truly the blending of mind, soul, and body. The practice is slow and intentional. There is no rush, no right or wrong; just testing my limitations and learning to be with myself fully. Ewa tailors her classes to her students’ needs, which for me was crucial because of my back issues. After our practices, I always feel calm and energetic at the same time, ready to take on the world head-on!

Claudia, Brussels

I have been practicing yoga for years, in Brussels and abroad, and Ewa is the best teacher I’ve had. I love her classes because of the well-prepared sequence of postures, slowly building up in difficulty, with a nice soft background music. She explains the postures well, with a tad of humor, and creates a safe and warm atmosphere. She perfectly balances quite intense physical work with a deep, pampering, restorative final relaxation. I always leave the class feeling at peace with my body and soul and, to use her words: feeling closer to my inner home.
